To get to Rwenzori Mountain National Park, visitors can either use road transport or air transport.
By Road There are two routes From Kampala via Mubende to Fort Portal which is 300km can take visitor about 4hrs. From Kampala via Masaka-Mbarara-Bushenyi to Kasese, which is about 350km can take tourists roughly 6 hours.
This route is conceivably more exciting as it goes through the Lake Mburo National Park to exceptional Queen Elizabeth National Park, however it’s long and therefore visitors are recommended pause in their trip.
By Air Chartered plane can be arranged and it takes only 30minutes to land to Kasese airstrip, from where visitor is able to move a short journey to the park.
Other Countries The park can also be accessed from the Democratic Republic of Congo The routes starts from Kigali in Rwanda then taking a bus to Gisenyi, crossing into the Congo and continuing to Beni.
From there, visitor can continue to the direction of Kasindi then to Beni where visit can pass within 13 km of Mutwanga, the traditional starting off point for expeditions from this side.
