The Rwenzori Mountains is a World Heritage Site and offers the opportunity to see nature at its best. Rwenzori Mountains is a free-standing, snow-covered, block mountain located with in Uganda, Congo and in Uganda its known as Rwenzori Mountains National Park. Rwenzori Mountains are located in Kasese Uganda, it can be seen from far Queen Elizabeth National Park and Virunga National Park. The Rwenzori plant life varies from heavy tropical rainforest, bamboo forests, montane cloud forests to alpine vegetation and the scenery is truly spectacular. Above 4,500 metres the snow capped Rwenzori Mountains is the second tallest mountain in Africa with its peak located in East Africa, near the border of Uganda and Congo.

Today as you take this ancient footpath you will meet People still using this path today that uses this tough, 1,500-meter high trail that takes you through isolated Mountain Villages and Hamlets along the Way.
Dress code for your hiking safari Uganda
A day pack, a walking stick, 3 liters of water, packed lunch, snacks, and a Hiking Stick would be great. The services of a porter can be arranged and you will be glad that you did so later in the hike.
You will need waterproof hiking boots, long trousers, long-sleeved shirt, rain-jacket or poncho, hat, all things to protect you on the hike.
